Royal Pop AP × Swatch: complete guide to all 8 models and colorways
Condividi
The Royal Pop is the collaboration that took the watchmaking world by storm in 2026. Eight colorways, two case configurations, a brand-new movement, and the unmistakable DNA of the Royal Oak reinterpreted through the Pop Art spirit of Swatch. If you are considering which Royal Pop to buy, this guide walks you through all eight models, their differences, and what you need to know before purchasing.
What is the Royal Pop
Launched on May 16, 2026, the Royal Pop is the first cross-group collaboration in Swatch's history: it unites Audemars Piguet's Royal Oak—the octagonal icon of haute horlogerie—with the playful language of the 1980s Swatch Pop. The result is not a wristwatch, but a Bioceramic pocket watch, designed to be worn around the neck with a lanyard, kept in a pocket, or hung as a bag charm.
Every piece shares the same technical features: a 40mm Bioceramic case, an octagonal bezel secured by eight hexagonal screws, a Petite Tapisserie dial, Super-LumiNova on the indices, and a newly designed hand-wound SISTEM51 movement with over 90 hours of power reserve. What varies between models are the color and the case configuration.
The two configurations: Lépine and Savonnette
Before the colors, the most important distinction is the case, as it changes how the watch is used and read.
The Lépine models feature the crown at 12 o'clock, at the top, in the classic silhouette of an open-face pocket watch. There are six of them: Otto Rosso, Huit Blanc, Green Eight, Blaue Acht, Orenji Hachi, and Ocho Negro.
The Savonnette models feature the crown at 3 o'clock, like a traditional wristwatch, and a small seconds sub-dial at 6 o'clock. There are only two: Lan Ba and OTG Roz. Precisely because of this configuration, they are considered the most suitable for being worn on the wrist, which is one of the reasons they are among the most sought-after.
This difference also matters if you plan to wear your Royal Pop on your wrist with a dedicated strap: the crown configuration determines which strap to choose.
The 8 colorways, one by one
Otto Rosso (Lépine)
Bright cherry red with pink accents: the boldest and most immediate colorway in the collection. For those who want a Royal Pop that gets noticed.
Huit Blanc (Lépine)
Brilliant white with the eight bezel screws each finished in a different color and rainbow indices. A direct tribute to its Pop Art origins, it is among the most sought-after and difficult-to-find pieces.
Green Eight (Lépine)
Two shades of green for a distinctive, editorial-inspired look. A less obvious choice for those looking for something recognizable.
Blaue Acht (Lépine)
Lime green and electric blue in a fresh, unmistakably pop combination. Lively yet balanced.
Orenji Hachi (Lépine)
Deep navy blue with orange accents: the boldest and most contemporary contrast in the series.
Lan Ba (Savonnette)
Double blue, royal and light blue, with a crown at 3 o'clock and small seconds. The most versatile and elegant model, and one of the most desired on the secondary market.
Ocho Negro (Lépine)
Onyx black with a contrasting white bezel. The most understated and versatile, the easiest to match and wear every day.
OTG Roz (Savonnette)
Turquoise dial with pink and yellow accents, a tribute to Warhol's Marilyn. It is the face of the collection and the most iconic piece, often the hardest to find.
Which Royal Pop to choose
There is no single answer, but a few criteria can help. If you are looking for versatility and elegance, the two Savonnette models (Lan Ba and OTG Roz) with the 3 o'clock crown are the most suitable, especially if you plan on wearing it on your wrist. If you are drawn to the purest Pop Art spirit, Huit Blanc and OTG Roz are the icons of the collection. If you prefer something understated for every day, the Ocho Negro is the easiest to carry. And if you want to make a statement, the Otto Rosso and Orenji Hachi do not go unnoticed.
It is also worth considering availability: some colorways, such as the OTG Roz, Huit Blanc, and Lan Ba, are notoriously the most difficult to find and the most coveted by collectors.
Buying an authentic Royal Pop
The Royal Pop was sold exclusively in selected Swatch boutiques in limited quantities, which immediately made it a highly sought-after piece on the secondary market. When purchasing, always ensure it is an authentic specimen and beware of replicas, which are unfortunately very common for products with such hype.
At Royal Pop Labs, you will find authentic specimens, sold individually, with free shipping throughout the EU and guaranteed authenticity. We are an independent retailer, not affiliated with or authorized by Audemars Piguet or Swatch.

And to wear it on your wrist
The Royal Pop was created as a pocket watch, but with a dedicated strap, you can turn it into a wristwatch in seconds, without tools and without modifications. We have silicone and bioceramic straps for all eight colorways and for both crown configurations.
